This statement is being released to our Residents, their families, our Team Members, Board Members, Stakeholders including our Town Council and CAO, SHSS Leadership, and Emergency Services.

As security and safety of our residents (your parent(s) or Grandparents) is paramount.

As the level of confirmed cases in Manitoba rose quickly over the weekend.

We will be locking down the entire NCU Manor from all visitors except in cases of medical emergency or end of life situations. The same as the PCH.

On the positive the residents can go to the 1st and 3rd floor or vice versa.

We are also asking that no family members access the patio doors from outside. There is again an opportunity for the virus to enter the building.

We have taken steps to cancel access cards and access codes at the various entry points. We have been having difficulty with some families following the guidelines. We want to be able to protect all of our residents who are someone’s parent or grandparent or family member or friend.

There will still be access for the Fire/EMS department and pharmacy deliveries.

So we need to do this together.

As noted before things are changing so very quickly world-wide, across Canada and within the Province of Manitoba. We will keep you informed as we can on our Website but again ask for patience if these changes happen too quickly or for changes you personally feel we should have implemented already.

If you have any questions please contact the undersigned.
