This statement is being released to our Residents, their families, our Team Members, Board Members, Stakeholders including our Town Council and CAO, SHSS Leadership, and Emergency Services.

On the Niverville Heritage Centre Campus we have been able to maintain the staffing levels necessary in the PCH and NCU Manor in all three shifts of days, evenings and nights.

Please rest assured that in our efforts to taking care of your loved one at the

  • PCH we continue
    • To provide various recreation activities.
    • To have the same staffing levels as we did before.
    • To have any staff that have any symptoms they must remain home for 14 days self-isolating.
    • To track where all staff work outside of our PCH.
      • If they work at another facility or job they will be required to pick one. They will not be able to work at our facility and another.
    • To require that all Team Members and Team Leaders that enter the building must – sanitize their hands – take their temperature – answer all the screening questions and record that info on the sheet at the entrance. Then sanitize their hands again.
    • Provide masks, shields and gowns as necessary or as instructed by the Government in our interaction with our residents.
    • Be proactive by building a wall in our Crocus and Prairie neighbourhoods to bring the group size down.
        • NCU Manor we continue
          • To spend more time with one on one activities.
          • To have the same staffing levels on the second floor as there was before.
          • To require that all Team Members and Team Leaders that enter the building must – sanitize their hands – take their temperature – answer all the screening questions and record that info on the sheet at the entrance. Then sanitize their hands again.
          • To enforce that any staff that have any symptoms they must remain home for 14 days self-isolating.
          • To require that all NHC staff will wear masks and gloves when serving,working or interacting with any of the residents.
          • Work with Southern Health to bring all levels of care and protection are the same for everyone. In a number of cases our expectation is higher.

        The Niverville Heritage Centre Campus Covid Action Committee is monitoring many things and considering all proactive steps or decisions to protect all of the residents on this campus as well as our staff that are working with your loved ones..

        As noted before things are changing so very quickly across Canada and within the
        Province of Manitoba. We will keep you informed as we can on our Website but again ask for patience if these changes happen too quickly or for changes you personally feel we should have implemented already.
