Event Supervisor (Term position) – OPEN
Our Events Centre is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Event Supervisor to ensure every detail of our events runs seamlessly. From managing event details to addressing the crowd with confidence, you’ll play a key role in delivering memorable experiences. This position is a term contract to cover an employee leave. The position is expected to begin in November 2025 to allow for overlap and training, with the leave coverage starting in January 2026. This role will end approximately January 2027. Wage starts at $22.50/hr.

What you’ll be doing:
• Lead and guide event staff to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
• Support the Event Manager in planning and execution of events.
• Work collaboratively with event planning team which includes Kitchen Manager and Food Services Manager to meet and exceed client expectations.
• Adapt quickly to last-minute changes and problem-solve to keep things on track.
• Communicate event updates, instructions, or announcements confidently to both staff and large audiences.
• Assist the event setup team by coordinating and sourcing necessary event supplies from local vendors.
• Managing operational and administrative tasks to ensure projects are delivered on time.
• Oversee event team members, conduct performance reviews, create and manage staff schedules, and assist with onboarding and interviews as needed.
• Provides creative ideas for events to generate business including post event analysis, research and participates in strategic planning.
• Develop and organize work schedules, including detailed routines and task lists for each event.
• In the absence of the Events Manager, supervises the events team.
What you’ll need:
• A degree or certificate in a relevant field such as hospitality, food service or events management is desirable.
• Prior experience in event management and supervision of staff is an asset.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in event planning, serving and bartending.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to address large groups confidently.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and good time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to coordinate with different vendors and staff during events.
• A combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered.
• A strong commitment to serving others and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Valid Smart Choices certificate.
• Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and own mode of transportation.

Maintenance Technician – OPEN
We are seeking a Maintenance worker that completes repairs and other activities for maintaining the physical asset of the building and property of the Niverville Heritage Centre Campus. What you’ll be doing:
• Troubleshoots maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and
equipment repair and replacement
• Maintains plant and operations equipment such as boilers, electrical systems, HVAC equipment, compressors, and other related facility equipment.
• Performs maintenance, installation and repair of various mechanical equipment and machinery including pumps, motors, compressors, kitchen appliances, laundry appliances, and grounds keeping equipment.
• Performs assigned maintenance duties as directed by the Director.
• Performs basic repairs such as but not limited to patching and painting walls, replacing light bulbs, doorknobs or locks.

We are seeking a responsible and independent Casual Event Bartender to provide excellent guest and client experience in our Event Centre. You will be responsible for providing efficient, courteous, and professional service to all guests. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills with previous bartender experience and Smart Choices Certification. First training shift October 4th, 2025
What you’ll be doing:
• Setting up dining areas before meals which includes but not limited to cleaning up dishes and cutlery including tables and meal service areas and related equipment, e.g.
Steam table.
• Serving of food and beverages such as but not limited to sets up meal trays; transporting food to dining rooms; serving meals and beverages; meeting residents needs by
responding to requests.
• Cleaning dishes and pots including kitchen area.
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness and sanitation within the dining room(s) and kitchen by following scheduled cleaning routines and cleaning guidelines for equipment.
• Ensure current knowledge of Elder/Tenant diets, likes and dislikes and any other dietetic requirements.

Food Service Worker – OPEN
We are seeking part-time Food Service Worker to assist in the service of resident meals and nourishments and supporting the overall operation of the kitchen by completing other tasks as required. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills with previous experience in food services. These positions are part-time to cover shifts during days/evenings/weekends. Shifts can consist of 7am to 3pm or 11am to 7pm.

Responsibilities
• Provides medication/treatments within guidelines established by HLPCH, Southern Health/Sante Sud and any other governing body.
• Develop, assess and part of the ongoing review of resident care plans which include activities of daily living, rehabilitative and restorative objectives. Maintains proficiency in use of the MDS/E-chart program.
• Respects residents rights to dignity and privacy and performs duties in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Maintains resident health care health care records and performs charting duties ensuring that records are informative, accurate and current.
• Admits new residents and orientates new staff and their families to aspects of the facility
• Supervises team members within their assignment to ensure care, services are provided as set out in the plan of care in addition to ensuring team members are working within prescribed OH&S practices and policies.
• Schedules/supports resident appointments, arranges for regular visits for the Podiatrist and other visiting professionals. Arranges transportation for residents to appointments. Prepares transfer forms as required.
• Meets regularly with the consulting Pharmacist to review all resident medication profiles and physicians
• Responsible for contacting physician with resident concerns, transcribes physician orders, ensures physician’s telephone orders are co-signed, and regularly reviews treatments with attending physicians during scheduled rounds.
• Ensures arrangements for diagnostic procedures and examinations as ordered by physician.
• Monitors the use and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Nursing Department. Requisition supplies and equipment when necessary.
• Keeps informed of applicable legislation related to long term care, and facility policies and procedures.
– Communicates with staff through regular staff meetings.
• Participates in formal and informal teaching programs for all nursing staff as well as health teaching to residents and families as appropriate.
• Assesses all staff injuries and initiates appropriate action/treatment.
• Supports performance reviews of direct reports by providing input into performance appraisals for Health Care Aides.
• Promotes effective communication with relatives and other interested individuals as well as communication and cooperation with other departments.
• Performs all duties in accordance with the written policies and procedures of HLPCH, the facility and the
Nursing Department.
