The Provincial Government recently announced a new Pandemic Response System which has four different colour coded levels to share the current level of risk, provide guidance and explain the range of measures in place to reduce the spread of Covid-19. The NHCC Covid Management Team have implemented this system into our visitation protocols. With the Covid-19 cases rising, we want to make sure we continue to protect the overall health, well-being and mental health of the residents on the Campus.

Below is a chart showing the different colour coded levels and the type of visit under that level. Depending on the region or site you are coming from and what colour coded level it is at, this will affect what type of visit that can be had with the resident.

There are also a few other protocols for visitors as follows;

  • If you are visiting from outside of Manitoba or Saskatchewan (which includes BC, AB or anywhere between Terrace Bay, ON to the East Coast). Indoor visits will not be permitted. Outdoor visits will be allowed after 14 days of isolation.
  • If you have been at a wedding, funeral or gathering held at a regulated facility/location, no indoor visits for 14 days following the event. Outdoor visits are still allowed while maintaining social distancing and wearing a mask.
  • If you have been at a wedding, funeral or gathering held at an unregulated facility/location, no indoor or outdoor visits for 14 days following the event.

Protecting the health and well-being of your loved ones and our staff remains one of our top priorities. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we continue on this journey.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact the undersigned.
